Can you go to Disney World in January?

Some days in January, and some in February, are also great times to visit. The least crowded time we have ever experienced was in January, the week after the Walt Disney World Marathon. The big drawback to visiting at this time is reduced park hours and often scaled-back entertainment.

January is a month of extremes at Disney World; you have crazy crowds until everyone heads home from Christmas vacation followed by some of the lowest crowds of the year with a short spike in the crowds for Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend.

I have great news for you, all of the pools in the Resorts and Water Parks are heated to around 80 degrees Fahrenheit and they are open year round. Typically one of the Water Parks is closed in January for refurbishment, but one of them is always open for Guests.
