How does one “grind down” calluses?

1 min read

Asked by: Reynaldo Lopez

Try a pumice stone. Or, if they’re really tough you can use a Dremel with a sandpaper attachment (seriously). If I pick at my calluses and manually tear them off, will they grow back harder/smaller?

How do you remove a callus with a pumice stone?

Calluses and Corns: Using Pumice Stones

  1. Soak your foot or other affected area in warm, soapy water for 5 minutes or until the skin softens.
  2. Wet the pumice stone.
  3. Rub the pumice stone on the wet callus or corn with light to medium pressure for 2 to 3 minutes. This will remove dead skin.
