Why doesn’t the PACER Test go beyond 247 laps?

Why does the PACER test stop at 247?

A score of 247 in my experience will indicate a value in the 99th percentile, hence therefore there is no purpose to exceed that max value since the majority can not reach that value.

So make sure you get a really good warm-up make sure your legs are really loose you're stretching them out getting all the tension out of the muscles. So they don't feel really heavy.

How do you run the PACER test without getting tired?

Go as slow as possible at each stage.



Avoid getting tired quickly by jogging instead of sprinting. After you’ve practiced the test a few times, you’ll know how much time there is between the beeps at each level of the test. Make sure you get to the line before the beep, however!
