In randonneuring, you ride a prescribed course within a fairly generous time limit, and document that you’ve ridden through a series of checkpoints along the route. Randonnées can be from 100 km to over 1200 km in distance. Some randonnées have officials on the course.

How do I become a randonneur?

A rider who has successfully completed a 200-kilometre (120 mi) brevet in limited time is called a randonneur. This is a lifelong title. Riders completing successful events receive awards, either from Audax Club Parisien or another randonneuring organisation.
