Can you upload a video to Strava?

You can add videos and photos any time after completing an activity on Strava. We expect all Strava athletes to honor the Strava Community Standards and this expectation applies to videos and photos you share with our community. Videos up to 30 seconds long are supported.

What file format does Strava use?

Strava supports FIT, TCX and GPX file types as described below. New file types are not on the road map. Developers are encouraged to use one of these types as it will also maximize compatibility with other fitness applications.

How do I upload a TCX file to Strava?

All you’ll have to do to get your rides uploaded to Strava is:

  1. Select “Choose Files” from this page on the Strava website.
  2. Navigate to /Garmin/garmin/activities or /Garmin/Activity.
  3. Select the file (it will end in . fit or . tcx).

What is a TCX file?

Training Center XML (TCX) is a data exchange format introduced in 2007 as part of Garmin’s Training Center product. The XML is similar to GPX since it exchanges GPS tracks, but treats a track as an Activity rather than simply a series of GPS points.

Is GPX or TCX better for Strava?

TCX and FIT are designed for fitness activities, so they can contain more fitness data than GPX. eg TCX or FIT supports laps (splits). So your device could record a new lap whenever you press the lap button, or automatically after a set distance, eg every 1km.

Should I export GPX or TCX?

Why isn’t my ride uploading to Strava?

Make sure you are in an area with good data coverage or, even better, connect via WiFi and tap on the ride to try again. Log out and then back into the Strava app. Turn your phone off and then back on again. If you’re still having trouble, your phone may tell you that you have Unsync’d Activities in your feed.

Does Strava upload automatically?

Once you’ve established this connection, any new activities uploaded to Garmin Connect™ will automatically sync to Strava. After your first upload, Garmin will also sync your past 90 days of activity to Strava.
