Started lifting again and am gaining weight but my clothes seem to fit better. What is the cause?

Muscle mass is denser than fat mass and you will undoubtedly gain weight from lean muscle gains. While your clothes may feel looser, the scale may tell you otherwise. This is a win!

Why am I gaining weight but my clothes fit the same?

You have gained muscle mass
If you’ve been training hard and get on the scales and see you’ve gained a few kilos (but still feel the same weight, or slimmer), chances are you’ve gained muscle mass, which is much more dense than fat.

Why are my clothes tighter since I started working out?
