Is there a recall on Cheerios cereal?

In 2020, Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios were recalled, but not because of glyphosate. General Mills, the company that makes Cheerios and other popular breakfast cereals, issued a recall of the cereals produced at its Lodi, California, site because wheat flour was found in the products that were labeled as gluten-freegluten-freeA gluten-free diet involves excluding foods that contain the protein gluten, including wheat, rye and barley. Most studies on gluten-free diets have been done on people with celiac disease, but there is another condition called gluten sensitivity that also causes problems with gluten.

What is in Cheerios that causes cancer?

Glyphosate has been labeled as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” by the World Health Organization since 2015. It was labeled a known carcinogen in 2017 by California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.

Does Cheerios still have glyphosate?

Are Honey Nut Cheerios being recalled?

The recall includes four days of production of its original Cheerios and 13 days of production of Honey Nut Cheerios from the Lodi plant. Recalled boxes can be identified by their “BETTER IF USED BY” code dates, including the plant code LD which indicates the product was produced at Lodi, California.

Is there a recall on MultiGrain Cheerios?

General Mills’ other gluten-free Cheerios varieties – including Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, Frosted Cheerios and MultiGrain Cheerios – are not impacted and are not being recalled.
