Our answer: 30-45 minutes for learning We extend to 45 minutes in later levels where the goal is to fine-tune form and build stamina, and where swimmers have the patience and physical ability to go longer.

How long is swimming lesson?

How long does the average swim lesson last? Most swim lessons take 30 minutes. If a lesson goes much longer, kids usually start to get cold and lose focus. Not only that but if kids are just beginning in the water and the list of skills to practice is short, the lesson will quickly get redundant.

What is Stage 2 swimming lessons?

Stage 2. This stage is for children who are in full time education and are confident in the water but have had no swim lesson experience. It will help develop water confidence and teach children to be able to swim five metres on both their front and their back.
