Originally Answered: Does lifting heavy weight make you shorter? People used to think this, but studies have shown that it definitely does NOT make you shorter. Body builders lose about half an inch (temporarily) but that’s it. Plus if you’re young, you’re still growing so weights can’t have an effect on your height.
