Are SPD-SL and Look compatible?

Look’s three-bolt pedals are incompatible with Shimano SPD-SL. Other road-going systems with a three-bolt cleat design include Time’s road pedals, but again there is no cross-compatibility with Shimano SPD-SL pedals.

Is Keo same as SPD-SL?

Shimano’s SPD SL pedals use a three bolt cleat system, similar to Look Keo pedals. The key difference is that the cleats and pedals are much broader, creating a wider platform and in theory offering greater power transfer.

Are Look Keo pedals compatible with Shimano?

It is also important to note that most cleats are specific to the manufacturer. For example, Shimano SPD-SL cleats are based on the Look system but Shimano cleats are not compatible with Look pedals and vice versa.

Are Look Delta and Look Keo compatible?

Look Delta system road cycling shoes use a 3 bolt cleat pattern and are extensively used with Peloton, Flywheel and Soul Cycle. Look Delta cleats are not compatible with Look KEO or Shimano systems.

Can I use Look Keo cleats on Peloton?

These are the cleats that you use with the pedals that come standard on Peloton bikes. Look Keo will not work. There is only one size of these cleats, but 2 colors. The black lock your foot onto the pedal, but the Red allow 9 degrees of rotation.

Are all Look Keo pedals compatible?

Keo cleats are NOT compatible with any Look pedal system except the Keo. The Delta cleat is compatible with all Look pedals systems except the Keo. The Keo cleats are available in two options: One is the “Red” cleat that allows for 9 degrees of rotational float.

Can you convert SPD-SL shoes to SPD?

Shimano has released a conversion adapter to connect SPD to shoes for SPD-SL, so it is possible for the shoe side to convert SPD-SL to SPD. The reverse is not possible. Also, there are no such conversion adapters available for the pedal side, so it is not possible to convert SPD pedals to SPD-SL or vice versa.
