Can you go swimming in Lake Isabella?

Lake Isabella is a beautiful lake in Wofford Heights, a little town an hour north of Bakersfield. It’s being fed by the mighty Kern River. We were there in June 2019 when the water was high. There is no fee to access the lake and there are beaches which are good spot for swimming during our stay.
