Can you train calisthenics skills everyday?

Yes, you can technically perform calisthenics every day but it’s largely dependant on your skill level, how hard you’re working out, which muscle groups you’re training and recovery time.

How often should I train? If your main goal is to get the planche, then start off with three days a week. If you find that your body can handle another day then slowly work on adding it in. Just be careful not to move up a progression too soon because you’ll just be asking for trouble with your wrists and tendons.

Especially if you train hard, I highly suggest working out every other day. I’ve seen some suggestions online of working out the Planche everyday, and while that can help if you do it right, you’re more likely to just tire yourself out.

How long should I train planche a day?

Don’t worry about hour long planche training sessions every 2 days, because you won’t be able to train the planche for an hour! Instead, spend 5-10 minutes, 2-3 times a day practicing the planche extensions or other progressions, then stop. Leave at least an hour between sessions so you don’t fatigue.
