Generally it happens because your ball isnt finishing strongly. Its difficult to say without seeing the reaciton in person, but if it is continually happening (ie you keep leaving the 5 pin) it will usually come from 1 of 2 areas.
Why do I always leave the ten pin?
When you are hitting heavy, the 3 pin usually heads straight back, which sends the 6 sideways to lay in the channel. We leave the 10 pin because the ball lost energy before it enters the 1 -3 pocket and the ball will hit heavy (more on the head pin).
Why do I leave the 4 pin?
The 4 pin for a righty is very common if you have too much entry angle or your ball is too high in the pocket. Either coming around the ball less or a slight move inside with your feet should help you get away from the leave. A 4 pin is usually a sign of a nonoptimal hit, you usually aren”t hitting pocket.
Why do I leave 7 pins?
Most likely, it’s your entry angle. When you’re knocking down every pin but the 7, you’re either coming in light (the 2 pin hits the back of the 4, pushing it in front of the 7) or heavy (the 2 pin hits the front of the 4, sending it to the back of the 7).

Why am I leaving the 7/10 split?
1) Ball is coming in too late, which usually results in a 10 pin. 2) When the ball is coming in, it is hitting too high as well as too late, which pushes the pins in front of the 7 (same as a smash 7 pin) Hence, a pocket 7-10. It’s a bad break that both pins stand, but not a bad break that at least 1 stood.

How often is a 300 game bowled?
The odds for a PBA bowler rolling a 300 are 460 to 1, while it’s 11,500 to 1 for the average bowler. So that puts the odds for success at about the same for the average player in each sport, but what about the realities of doubling up? It would seem to require more proficiency in bowling than golf.
