Arm Stay is for when you are at home and awake. Security features are activated as in Arm Away, but Motion Sensors are not (so you don’t trip the alarm while you’re in the house).
What’s the difference between stay and away on an alarm?
Armed Stay is the arming mode you should use when remaining in your home, such as at night when sleeping. Armed Away is the arming mode you should use when leaving the home.
What is the difference between stay and night on alarm system?
Stay vs. Night. Briefly, the stay setting is to be used during the daytime, while you’re staying in your home. The night setting, while also to be used when you’re in the home, is to be used at night time when your movement is more limited.
What is night stay on alarm?
Stay mode, often referred to as home mode, is the mode best used when someone remains at home. Motion sensors from the system detect people inside but don’t activate any alarms, ensuring the system isn’t set off by mistake. This mode still provides security of course, otherwise it would be rather useless.
What is the difference between armed stay and armed night stay?
Arm Night is exactly the same as Arm Stay. The only difference is that any Interior Zones with the Arm Night setting enabled will not be bypassed when the system is set to Arm Night mode. Please note that you will only see the Arm Night option if you have at least one sensor with the Arm Night option enabled.
What is stay mode?
What is the Stay Armed mode? Use the stay function on the keypad when you plan on staying home. When your alarm is in stay mode all the interior zones, such as the motion detectors, will be circumvented. This means the alarm won’t be triggered should you get up in the middle of the night for a glass of water.
Should you set your house alarm at night?
As well as when you are leaving the house (even if it’s for a couple of minutes), we also highly recommend for people to use the night setting every night. Just as you are going around, checking if all windows and doors are locked each night, add switching your burglar alarm to your routine.
How do you set Armed stay?
Select the arm stay icon. This will initiate the arming sequence. There is no audible beep when arming in the stay mode.
Does ARM stay have a delay?
Just remember about that entry delay being voided right you don't want to go ahead and open that front door and the trigger or the alarm. And the siren triggers immediately.
Why does Armed Stay say exit now?
The alarm system says “exit now” when armed in stay mode because the exit delay occurs no matter which arming mode you are using. When arming your alarm control panel in stay mode, your system will activate with the exception of the motion detectors.
What is ARM stay on alarm?
Arm Stay & Night Mode
A helpful “Arm Stay” option is to select “Night Mode”, which will immediately arm your system (no countdown) and remove any entry delay that is set on your door sensors. This means that if someone triggers a door sensor, it will set off the alarm immediately with no delay.
What does Armed Stay Instant mean?
The difference between Arm Stay and Arm Instant is that the system will ignore all Entry Delay settings when it is set to Arm Instant. In other words, any zone that would normally trigger an Entry Delay countdown will instead cause an instant system alarm.
