Marbelite is a mixture of white cement and white marble dust used as an interior pool finish designed for resurfacing gunite or shotcrete pools. It can be given a colour, quartz finish, glass bead finish or be left white.

Can you paint over Marbelite?

Epoxy is the only paint that is suitable for pools that have a marbelite finish. Pool paint with a chlorinated rubber base is not as durable or expensive as epoxy paint but is dependable, easy to use and an inexpensive pool paint.

Top of the fiberglass should go under the paving brick and not just straight up against them. pH in fiberglass pool will go down and in marbelite up. Instead of acid add alkalinity up/soda ash.

Shrinkage cracks or webbing may occur and will be visibly more apparent or mottled coloured applications if the pool is not filled quickly enough.
