Tires on bikes come in a a vast array of possible sizes, but here is a simple a guide. First, tires are sized by their diameter and width. A common size is 26″ x 2.125″. This means that the tire is approximately 26 inches in diameter and the tread is about 2 and an 1/8th inch wide.
