Is a spacer needed for a Shimano 11 speed cassette?

If you are running Shimano or Sram 11 speed, the cassette will simply install directly on the freehub body with no spacers required. If you upgrade from 10 speed to 11 speed, you can remove all spacers and simply slide the cassette onto the freehub.

Are Shimano 11 speed road and MTB cassette compatibility?
