What is landing in jumping?

Proper Landing Technique



Ensure your knees are tracking over your foot and not caving in or falling outward. Focus on the glutes (review the safe squat technique) throughout the movement. Land on the balls of your feet and then evenly distribute your weight from the toes to the heels to cushion the impact.

How is landing done in long jump?


First that has to happen first knees to the chest. Without trying and the shoulders will rock back just ever so slightly knees to the chest.

What is flight and landing in long jump?

Flight – The jumper prepares for landing. ( 3 Types = Sail, Hang & Hitch-Kick). Landing – The jumper maximises the potential distance of the flight path and minimises the loss of distance at the touchdown.
