Camping reservations Camping Reservations are required for the Lake O’Hara area. All overnight camping reservations at Lake O’Hara will be offered on the Parks Canada Reservation Service, or by telephone 1(877) 737-3783.

How do I book a bus to lake Ohara?

Reservations accepted from February 3, 2022 at 8 am MDT by phone 1-877-737-3783, or online through the Parks Canada Reservation Service. The reservation includes the bus fees. The inbound buses to Lake O’Hara depart the parking lot at 8:30, 10:30, 15:30 or 17:30 MDT.

Can I drive to lake O Hara?

Although there is a road right to the shores of Lake O’Hara, you can’t drive there. The gravel road is 11 km/7 miles long and is gated. To get to Lake O’Hara you have to walk the road or take the Parks Canada shuttle bus. (There’s also a private bus for guests of the Lake O’Hara Lodge.

If you are day hiking make sure you have enough food and water for the day. It is not permitted to bike down the fire road. Dogs can be walked into Lake O’Hara on a leash, they not permitted at the campground or on the shuttle bus.
