Guests may tailgate at Tailgate Park on a limited basis. Guests are required to park in spaces as directed by ACE Parking upon arriving to Tailgate Park. Guests may not reserve additional spaces and must tailgate directly behind their vehicle. Tailgating is not permitted in any other garage or lot.
What is allowed at Petco Park?
Guests are welcome to bring still cameras, video cameras and other electronic recording devices with lenses smaller than 6 inches into Petco Park for their personal use. No detachable lenses are allowed in. Guests must avoid obstructing the views of others when using video recording or photography equipment.

For enhanced ballpark security and to expedite the entry process for all of our guests, Petco Park will prohibit bags with the exception for single compartment bags measuring 7” x 10” or smaller, infant and medical bags.

How Much Does Parking Cost At Petco Park? Parking lots at the ballpark are not cheap, ranging from $10-$40 depending on how close to the stadium you are. Parking lot spaces are available downtown for as low as $5, but expect to walk a considerable distance from the game.

I would say yes. We walked area around park both when there were games and not. Check front desk at the hotel for advice.
What can you not bring into Petco Park?
These banned/prohibited items ARE NOT allowed:
- Backpacks or purses larger than 10” x 7”
- Hard-sided coolers.
- Cans or glass bottles (No outside beverages other than sealed water, milk, juice or ADA requirements)
- Thermos bottles.
- Alcohol / Drugs / Chewing tobacco / Medical Marijuana.
- Bats, large brooms, wooden sticks or rods.
Can I bring my dog to Petco Park?
Service animals are welcome guests at Petco Park. The Padres adhere with U.S. ADA regulations and allow dogs to attend Padres games with their owners so long as they are trained to do work or tasks specifically related to the owner’s needs.

Yes, as of August 6, 2021, the decision to ban outside food has been reversed. You are now allowed again to bring in outside food to San Diego Padres games. Bringing in your own food is a great way to save a few bucks. It helps accommodate young children who may not be too keen on sharing your garlic fries.
