Welcome to the North Shore and South Shore Recreation Areas at Camanche Reservoir in the Sierra Foothills. You’ll find access to 12 square miles of lake and 53 miles of shoreline. Popular activities include fishing, swimming, waterskiing, jet skiing, and windsurfing.

Is alcohol allowed at Lake Camanche?

Lake Camanche has hundreds of RV and tent campsites, some almost lakefront. With alcohol-free restrictions and well-maintained sites, you can expect a pleasant, family-like atmosphere. RV sites have full hookups. There are also an equestrian campgrounds and group campgrounds which can accommodate up to 72 people.

Rock fire rings are prohibited. Campfires must be in a designated fire pit, either your own or ours, a foot off the ground with 1 foot in diameter of cleared ground. Must be attended to at all times.

Camanche Reservoir is open year-round. Entrance gates open at 5:00 am and close at 11:00 pm. Day use ends one hour after sunset.
