A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing. This is not a complete list of possible side effects.
Are there any side effects to Latisse?
Potential side effects of Latisse include: Redness of the thin tissue over the white part of the eye (conjunctiva) Itchy, red eyes. Dry eyes.
Can Latisse irritate your eyes?
The most common side effects after using LATISSE® solution are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness. This was reported in approximately 4% of patients. LATISSE® solution may cause other less common side effects which typically occur on the skin close to where LATISSE® is applied, or in the eyes.
How long do Latisse side effects last?
This can happen every time you use the product, which may eventually discolor the eyelids. This side effect usually doesn’t last long and should go away within 2 months after the usage of the product has been stopped.
Can Latisse cause eyelid dermatitis?
The most common adverse events caused by Latisse use are described as eye pruritus, conjunctival hyperemia, skin hyperpigmentation, ocular irritation, dry eye symptoms, and erythema of the eyelid. These common adverse events have been described in less than 4% of patients.
Is there anything better than Latisse for eyelash growth?
Revitalash is an over-the-counter lash growth formula that contains a smaller amount of the prostaglandin latanoprost. This works the same as the active ingredient in Latisse (Latisse has the patent on theirs) but is found in a smaller amount, which is why it is available without a prescription.
What happens when you stop Latisse?

May cause brown darkening of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. LATISSE® may cause eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible.

Yes. You can used mascara and Latisse. You will want to take all your eyelid makeup off before putting Latisse on. Often patients will decrease application of mascara as Latisse will make the lashes longer, thicker and then darker.
Can I use mascara while using Latisse?
Although many women find that with Latisse they no longer need to apply layers of thick mascara to give them the lashes they desire, you CAN wear mascara with Latisse. It’s best to apply Latisse in the evening after you’ve removed all makeup.
Can I wear makeup over Latisse?
Yes! Mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and other eye makeup can be used at the same time as LATISSE(R).
Is Generic Latisse just as good?
Latisse (bimatoprost) is available as a generic medication and may be significantly cheaper compared to the brand version. Unless there is a specific reason you need the brand, the generic medication will be a better value.
Is one drop of Latisse enough?
One drop is usually enough to cover both eyes. Unless you have an eye infection or irritation, you can also use 1 brush for both eyes. Just be sure to clean the brush with a little gentle dish washing liquid between uses, rinse and let it dry for sanitation purposes.
