They plant mandevilla ground cover in early spring and enjoy its rapid growth and prolific flowers through the first frost. Since mandevilla vines require a trellis or other support in order to climb, you can use mandevilla vines for ground covers simply by planting the vine on a slope without a climbing support.
What is the best way to plant a mandevilla?
So gently massage the root ball. And spread the roots so that they're not all growing pressed up tight against the pot. Once your root ball is nice and loose it's time to fill it with potting mix.
How often should you water a mandevilla?
1 – 2 times a week
Watering. Yes, it is actually enough to water 1 – 2 times a week. The plants form storage roots, store water, and need very little of it because their leaves are covered with wax. In very hot spells, however, water the mandevilla daily.
