If you’re doing some building work you may decide that you need to move your gas meter with your gas pipe. This is the type of job you probably wouldn’t know where to start with, but that’s fine. You shouldn’t be attempting to move your meter yourself as moving this is actually illegal and very dangerous.

Also need to make the shut off valve and test nipple accessible. It must also be ventilated high and low to 2% of the floor area of the enclosure IIRC.

We have and the surveyor said it is fine. It is surprisingly common apparently. The only downside is that when the guy comes to read the meter, you have to take him into the bedroom.
