During high-intensity runs or sprints, it’s recommended that you breathe through your mouth since it’s more efficient. Inhaling and exhaling through your mouth allows more oxygen to enter your body and fuel your muscles.
Is it better to breathe through your mouth or nose while running?
When you are running casually you can breathe through your nose. But when you are sprinting you need to start taking air through your mouth. Breathing through your nose allows you to take in more oxygen and also helps to relieve tension and tightness.
