How common are side effects of Latisse?
The most common side effects after using LATISSE® are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness, which were reported in approximately 4% of clinical trial patients. LATISSE® solution may cause other less common side effects which typically occur close to where LATISSE® is applied.
Can Latisse cause eye issues?
Eye irritation or dry eyes may be a side effect from regular LATISSE use, which could lead to other visual complications. Macular edema, or a buildup of fluid in the macula (the center of the retina), has been a reported side effect of LUMIGAN treatment for high intraocular pressure.
How long do Latisse side effects last?
This can happen every time you use the product, which may eventually discolor the eyelids. This side effect usually doesn’t last long and should go away within 2 months after the usage of the product has been stopped.
Does Latisse cause aging?
The deepening of the upper eyelid sulcus, lid thinning and fibrosis are unlikely to fully resolve with the discontinuation of Latisse. The effect is the permament premature aging of the eyelids.
