DOMS usually occurs when you switch things up, so after you try a new workout, if you’re new to exercising, have had a bit of time off, or if you dial up the intensity or duration of your usual routine. Luckily muscles quickly adapt and build strength and stamina.

Why do I keep getting DOMS?
