Does working out with a sweatshirt on burn more calories?

Wearing a sweater while working out won’t make you burn more calories. In an effort to increase weight loss, or possibly lose weight at a more rapid pace, many people seek to increase the amount they sweat.

Does wearing a sweatshirt while exercising burn more calories?

When you wear a sweatshirt, your body temperature increases, circulation increases and heart rate increases in an effort to maintain body temperature. As a result of this increase in heart rate, you may burn more calories while wearing a sweatshirt, but it’s not always a good idea.

Is it better to wear a sweatshirt while working out?

Wearing a sweater will increase your heart rate and therefore make you burn some more calories, who knows by how much, get a heart rate monitor and see for yourself. But again, if you find that while wearing a sweating you have to run for only 20 minutes instead of 30 then don’t do it.
